Who we are

Who are we? What do we do around here? We are just a bunch of animal loving country folk. We have chickens, goats, ducks, dogs, cats, and lots of squirrels and rabbits running around. We plan to expand and add bees and dairy goats. Running a family farm is a lot of work but so rewarding. We just thought we’d share a little of us with you! We hope you enjoy this little clip. If you want to come see us send us a message. 😊

Spring break!

Sorry for my absence this past week. I have been on spring break with the family! Just to let you know what I’ve been doing, here is a little bitty post and a few pics. I’ve been in the Smoky Mountains having a great time. We’ve been exploring downtown Gatlinburg and of course hiking and shopping and visiting the wine trail. 🙂 More and better pics to follow. These are a few cell phone shots!

Vacations are wonderful, but home is great too. The only bad part is that try as I might my red slippers did not get me home fast enough no matter how many times I said “There’s no place like home”!

As of now I can’t get my waterfall pics to load up, but I will keep adding as I can so keep checking back!

Fall – My favorite time of the year

It's pumpkin time!
It’s pumpkin time!

What I love about fall…..
pumpkins, pecans, warm pies and breads fresh from the oven.
the crinkle of the leaves and smell of the crispness in the air.
the beautiful reds, oranges, purples, and yellows in the leaves.
snuggling up in a blanket on a cool night.
opening up the windows and hearing the birds, roosters, and other country noises.
wearing pants and long sleeves and being comfortable, not cold, not warm.
the beautiful sunrises and sunsets, more vibrant, like the leaves.
What I love most about fall…..
It’s the season of Thanksgiving.
A time to be thankful for all the beauty of the season, our families,
our friends and loved ones, and most of all that we have a Lord who loves us enough to give us all these things.

Happy Fall and Happy Thanksgiving season to you and your loved ones.
